Brother by Glen Smith

Hey brother, I just wanted to say that you are still on my mind but I've tried to get back on track. It's been hard but I think I'm getting it back together slowly. I would like to remind you to keep those strong who need your help. Who would have thought that your site would have been visited so many times but there are so many who have not responded, I'm sure they will in time. I ordered you a memorial brick today which will go on display at the new Cowboys stadium in 2009 for all to see, I am sure you will like it...Love you brother.

GLEN by SISSY....

HEY THERE BROTHER...I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!!! YOU HAVE DONE SUCH A GREAT JOB ON THIS MEMORIAL SITE, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THAT. IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I CAN STILL COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, AND I ENJOY READING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WRITE TO HIM ALSO. I KNOW IT WILL BE A LONG JOURNEY BEFORE WE CAN GO DAY BY DAY AND NOT BE SAD AND SHED THAT EVERY DAY TEAR. I'M SURE THAT NONE OF US WILL EVER BE THE SAME, BUT WE NEED TO TRY, HE WANTS THAT SO MUCH FOR US. IT IS STILL SO HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE IS REALLY GONE. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! I JUST NEEDED TO TELL YOU THAT.
LOVE ALWAYS
SISSY

Thinking of You by Tootie

I haven't even had the words to express my sorrow to you all. I know how much I
hurt and the others around me, but I can't even begin to understand loosing a son or a sibling. I'm so sorry for your lose and all of your heartache. Bubba was such a bright light that when he entered the room you knew it. It was so clear to everyone how much bubba loved his family. Michelle, he was one of the coolest guys in school but no matter who he was in front of he still called you sissy. All of you held yourselfs so dignified during the services. I think of you all everyday, my heart is with you. How blessed ya'll were to have had him as a son and brother. He had turned into such a good man. I was really proud of him and I know you all were even more pround. I know there is nothing anyone can say or do to help all the pain and for that I'm so sorry. Sorry that you have to even go through all of this. They say time heals all but they don't tell you that the period between the tradgedy and the point were your actually a little allright is hell. My favorite advice is one foot in front of the other. Which is actually just something you end up doing. So keep on stepping. I love all of you and your in my thoughts.

Always say I love you... by Navida Smith

I have visited this site daily since it became available..however I never knew exactly what I wanted to say..in honoring O.D.. I wished to express my heartfelt sympathy to Uncle Butch, Aunt Muriel, Michelle,Glen, and Jenn..and all those who knew and loved Bubba deeply. The message given at Bubba's funeral was one I live by daily. To Tell those you love...you love them every chance you get. Bubba loved his family very much..nothing was more important..in saying this I feel blessed to have known Bubba even for a short time..to be apart of this family that over flows with love is a wonderful gift. He got his smile from his momma.. his drive in life from his Daddy..and his love of life from his sister...friends became family ..and his life was lived to the fullest. In Death Bubba brought so many of us together..In life he lived in ways so many of us admired. You will be missed..never forgotten..and your message was heard loud and clear..Love..with every fiber of your being..for tomorrow is not promised. We love you Bubba

Bubba by Glen Smith

I am so thankful to know that I had a brother that was so loved by so many people. Of course, we as a family have our own little memories of Bubba but it is so great to hear from all of his friends.

I want to say that we have the best family possible and want them all to know that we have to remain strong and celebrate Bubba's life as we know it. He would not want us to let things go too bad for too long, he would want us to remain strong and get on with taking care of business. Bubba always believed in taking care of business as he was very responsible for a young man.

I would just like for everyone to hold their heads up and remain strong, be proud to have been a part of Bubba's life. Celebrate him and the memories you have shared with Bubba and lift your glasses and toast his memory whenever you can, he would appreciate that.

Celebration by Glen Smith

I want to thank all of you special people who today helped us lay my baby brother to rest. The services were wonderfully done and very professional. I want to thank the Gatesville Funeral Home who did such a superb job at comforting our family and friends in such a terrible time for us. I want to thank Graves Florist in Gatesville who went above and beyond to fill all of the numerous orders for flowers. I want to thank all of the law enforcement agencies who assisted us in getting Bubba to his resting place at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetary in Killeen especially the Coryell County SO who again went above and beyond what anyone of us could have expected.

It is a very somber time for all of us but it made us all feel a little better to look back and see the so many cars in the funeral procession. It made us feel at peace knowing how much Bubba was loved and by so many. Thanks to all of you from the whole family as we all know that we are not the only ones who loved Bubba. He has had such an impact on so many people in his short lifetime.

Bubba had that "special knack" for meeting people and then they became lifelong friends. Thanks for being such a special part of his life and ours.

OD3-RIP We love you!!!
